Yesterday my youngest son, Dominic aged 7, was the mascot and what a great afternoon we both had. He has just said to me that it was the best day of his life so far. Meeting the players in the dressing room before the match was a great privelage. The pre match scenario is something to savour. Firstly Davy walks past us in the corridor and stops to give Dom his autograph at this point we could hear music and comotion in the Barnsley dressing room, Davy then goes in to give his pre match talk and within seconds there was deathly silence. We were then allowed in and what a great set of lads, all very friendly and an air of confidence. The lads are well up for it this season and I foresee a top ten finish. Souza is a great laugh and, if he stays long enough, will become a legend. Simon Davy is a great bloke and the fans are now beginning to give him the credit he deserves. If you get the chance to arrange it for your kids, do it you will never forget it.
Glad He Had A Good Day The Cardiff mascot had a pretty good shot on him. Was watching him take shots at Oakes and he had some power and accuracy behind them.
Great that Dominic had such a smashing day I can fully endorse what you say about how our club treats the mascots . They are first class .
Glad he enjoyed it What do you have to do for your kid to be a mascot? Do they have to be members/ season ticket holders?
That's great to hear We need a second generation of fans and this is how to ensure that we get them.
I can't speak highly enough of Davey. When we were making the film with the children last year, he was first class, along with everyone else in the Club who gave us their time and support.

The two other girls who were mascots live near me and i know they really enjoyed it as well, their mum whos not really into football came up to me and said how much she had enjoyed ever minute of it .
Glad he enjoyed his afternoon. It really is an experience not to be missed and everybody connected with the Club does anything and everything they can to look after you. Wait until you get the official photos from the Club and any you took and then you'll have to get Dominic to post about his day.
