    Steve Hayward and Isaiah Rankin

So much so I wrote into Ceefax and got my letter on the sports letter pages.

Hayward on the basis he was very good at Fulham and very highly rated, and Rankin based on when he destroyed us when he played for Birmingham in that hammering we took.

    Ohhhhhhh how wrong I was.

I'm a bit older and wiser now... though not much! :D

Thought Hayward was ok - bit injury prone though.

    To be fair

That's what held him back I think, he wasn't bad.

And Rankin scored that goal v Brentford so maybe not too bad :D

    Rob Atkinson...

Honestly thought he'd make it as a top Championship CB after the game where we got beat by Preston 1-0 in our 1st season back in the Championship. Okay we got beat that day and may have gone bottom or 2nd bottom of the league but I seem to remember he had David Nugent in his back pocket that day, sure Nugent was top scorer in this league then too.

Career just seems to have gone down hill from then onwards...

young lad a few years back. I likened him to Chris Shuker, even though he was shorter than Shukes (if thats possible). Looked a decent young player when he made a few appearances but was released when we got promoted to the Championship. No idea where he went or is now, Soccerbase just sez he left us and Wikipedia doesn't have anything on him.
