    well it was opened in august 2000

    so it was built in 1999/2000.

    the first home game was against Norwich.

    it was red hot, and that daft full back we had from from Everton got sent off. Craig Bellamy played for Norwich and looked a class apart.

    Me & a mate from Hull took an E and sat in the new North stand and then went to the best party I have ever been to.

    Great day / night / weekend.

    Probably too much information but hey ho, it stuck in my memory so I can answer your question.

    That Norwich game was the first game of the season after losing at Wembley.</p>

    The North Stand was first used the season previously - 1999-2000.

    so when did chris jackson have to retire cos was watchin a video other day vs man u reserves and north stand was up he was playin and martin bullock adie moses too 4 reserves at time richie wellens scored 4 us in it
