Fixtures Barnsley Vs. Burton Albion - Sat, Aug 09 2025, 15:00 Reds supporters heading to Oakwell for the first competitive home game of the season on Saturday are advised to plan ahead, as there will be some disruption to usual matchday parking for the majority of the 2025/26 campaign. Phase one of The Seam Digital Campus is now under way, and as part of the works, the lower Seam car park will remain closed until March 2026. When it reopens next spring, supporters can look forward to improved parking facilities and the addition of the striking Yorkshire Rose sculptures. Nearest Parking to Oakwell The Market Gate Car Park offers the shortest walk to the stadium. However, please note that for certain home fixtures it may be closed on police advice, depending on the assessed level of risk. Town Centre Car Parks Council monitoring shows that The Glass Works and The Alhambra car parks generally have good availability on Saturdays and both provide accessible spaces for visitors with limited mobility. Free Weekend Parking Fans can enjoy up to three hours’ free parking in off-street car parks in the town centre on Saturdays and Sundays – but remember, a ticket must still be displayed even when parking is free. Blue Badge Parking Blue Badge holders can park for free in any council on-street parking space. Dedicated bays are also available on: Blucher Street, Eldon Street, Hanson Street, Market Hill, New Street, Pall Mall, Peel Street, Shambles Street, Wellington Street, Westgate and Wortley Street.
