The Club acknowledges the charge made by the FA in relation to to the mass confrontation against Plymouth Argyle in our EFL League One fixture on Saturday, 2 August. It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players did not behave in a way which was improper and/or provocative around the 45th minute. The Club will be making no further comment at this time. Continue reading...
Hopefully they’ll have a good look at the footage. I’m sure I read someone thought Yoganathan had been punched. I thought maybe Cleverley had instructed his players to stir it up a bit when 2-0 down. It could be a feature of their season.
Absolutely laughable really isn’t it? Anybody have any idea where the ref is at the weekend? Wouldn’t be surprised to see him reffing a championship game. Should be demoted to Sunday league! Useless ****!
I know iFollow can be bad but it somehow managed to miss the whole part where the Barnsley lads were to blame.
Pretty sure there was a mass confrontation, I saw one anyway. And the very definition of a confrontation is that opposing parties were hostile towards one another, which sums up what I saw, and it's what we've been charged with. I find it difficult to believe anyone can see it a different way. It's also true that we've been charged, we haven’t been found guilty. What this does is provide us the opportunity to present evidence. The whole thing started because Wiredu wouldn't get off Shepherd. Dunno what he was doing, but it started to look a bit unsavoury. By the time the ref got there they were both rolling about so I'm not surprised they were both booked, but this allows a further investigation. But the real nasty incident was the attack on Yoganathan. That wasn't seen and wasn't dealt with. There's a chance that it now will be. Incidentally, massive praise for the way Vimal dealt with that. At just 19 he showed an amazing maturity. Will owt come of it all? I dunno, but if anything is going to, this will be how it starts.
Sent to Coventry as fourth official. Coventry City v Hull City (12:30) ROBERT MADLEY Darren Williams and Nigel Lugg Fourth Official: Declan Bourne
Just had a look, he is not refereeing any game at the weekend and has not got one in the League Cup next week. However he is the Fourth Official at Coventry City on Saturday and at Swansea in the Cup. Make of that what you will.
