After signing on loan until the end of the season, the talented full-back discussed joining the Reds on loan as they push forward in their promotion ambitions.

Lembikisa, an exciting prospect with a bright future ahead, has already built a strong reputation for his quick feet, defensive awareness, and attacking instincts. Speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk, the 21-year-old expressed his excitement about joining the squad and the challenge ahead.

"It’s good, man, amazing. Happy to be here. Happy to try league some games and improve the team," he said. "My mind is definitely on promotion, but we've just got to take it game by game and try and perform as best as we can. But it's definitely exciting to be in this position and to know where we can take it."

The young defender, who has already gained valuable experience at senior level, spoke about the importance of loan spells in shaping a player’s career and adapting to the professional game.

"Going on loan, it builds your character a lot. You get to see how working in the team, competing for points works every week. You understand the quickness of professional football and a league playing with men, so you get to experience a lot."

Lembikisa, who has been developing his game over the past few seasons, is eager to continue progressing and contributing to Barnsley’s success.

"I've enjoyed it, especially these past two, three years. Making my debut, playing more professional games. Obviously, that’s the goal—to be in the professional game. So I’ve enjoyed the time so far. I just want to continue making positive steps forward."

A dynamic full-back with both defensive resilience and attacking flair, Lembikisa is excited to show Barnsley fans what he can do.
