[BFC SITE] Northampton Town vs Reds Postponed

Barnsley FC wishes to inform its supporters that the upcoming Sky Bet League One fixture against Northampton Town, originally scheduled for Saturday 11 January, has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Sixfields Stadium.

Following a pitch inspection conducted by the referee at 12pm today, the playing surface was deemed unplayable, with the conditions posing a risk to player safety. Despite efforts to mitigate the impact of the cold weather, the freezing temperatures have rendered the pitch unsuitable for the match to proceed as planned.

A new date for the rearranged fixture will be announced in due course. All tickets purchased for the original game will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture, and further information regarding the new date will be communicated to fans as soon as it is confirmed. Match tickets wishing to be refunded for this fixture can be returned to the Box Office.
