Barnsley Football Club and technical partner Oxen are proud to reveal the new home kit for the 2025/26 season.

For the second year running, the Club has collaborated with global fashion platform VFILES and Club Director Julie Anne Quay to create a home kit that fuses style, performance, and deep-rooted Barnsley heritage. This season’s home kit draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of Barnsley’s past - celebrating the Club’s proud history, the unwavering spirit of its supporters, and defining moments that have shaped both town and team. It’s a design rooted in history, heart, and heritage — on and off the pitch. Set to launch mid-July, the kit will be available for purchase both online and in-store, in all adult and junior sizes.

The 25/26 home shirt features a traditional Barnsley red body with a deeper red peaked collar, accented by white and red trim on the cuffed sleeves. Subtle but significant details are woven into the fabric. A white Yorkshire rose is integrated into the red sleeve and the white shorts. Horizontal self stripes across the ribs will be immediately recognisable to fans and players alike. A return to the hooped sock pattern completes the nod. The past, present and new future season coming together

“At Barnsley FC we wear our heart on our sleeve - literally. Every design choice this year reflects considered thought on who we are, where we come from and what we stand for: proud, grounded, and ready for what’s next. We’re honoured to continue building and contributing to the heritage and performance of Barnsley Football Club.” said Julie Anne Quay, VFILES Founder and Barnsley FC Director.

As previously announced, the Investment Room returns as our front-of-shirt sponsor across all home playing and replica kits. We are also proud to support Weston Park Cancer Charity, whose logo will appear on the left sleeve of every shirt - a visible symbol of our ongoing commitment to causes close to our community.

Constructed from a lightweight, breathable high-performance fabric, the kit is designed to meet the demands of elite athletes while remaining comfortable off the pitch.

Best looking kit we've had in a while IMO.

Wasn’t a fake. That’s 100% the main office carpet tiles. That will have been a very early sample based on the design brief.

Yeah, not seen any photos of them, so wasn’t aware.

The best socks around. Kudos, JAQ and co.

They've obviously ditched the burgundy in favour of red on red. Why couldn't they just have a white collar? That said, it's a nice tidy shirt.

I like it, my only criticism is the "Yorkshire White rose" is not really white, is it? It's a rose, and that is it.

But yes. Compared to recent years efforts I think this is pretty much back to what we like.

Yorkshire Rose is more like a Daisy. Rose of Lancaster is the white rose we (wrongly) use.

I like that. Apart from the gorilla's face on the shorts.

Whats the significance of the gorilla's face on the shorts?

I’m a fan of the red collar. It’s like the 2011-12 shirt, which is probably my favourite. I’m a very plain and dull individual.

Bigots like you are the reason we no longer have a women's team. White shorts this, white shorts that. Everyone knows women can't wear white shorts. So to accommodate you and your white shorts fetish they had to dissolve the women's team. Hope you're proud of yourself.

I'm guessing the shorts were under the shirt shoulder when someone had their oil spill on it.

I like the all red shirt. But then, that's always been my personal preference for donkey's ytears. As for the socks, I'd have prefered all wihe, but happy enough with hooped ones.

Big improvement on last season, however I do have a couple of gripes..
    1. Is it just me, or does that 'rose' on the shirt just look like a big sweat patch under the armpit?
    2. Hooped socks - for the love of satan, why do we remain obsessed with stars and hoops?
    3. Blue. Blue. I don't think any Barnsley shirt, ever, should be blue. What's worse is it's not even Tory blue. It's Reform blue. Vile.
