[BFC SITE] Reds join Every Minute Matters relay

Barnsley FC employees and guests have taken part in Sky Bet’s Every Minute Matters Relay, raising awareness of the importance of learning CPR.


The Reds team set off from Oakwell on Tuesday morning and finished their leg at Huddersfield Town's John Smiths Stadium.

Boxer, Callum Simpson was part of the relay group along with Ryan Eastwood from Club sponsor, Copier Systems Limited. Dan Hayward, Parternship Sales Executive at Barnsley FC also joined the group completed by representatives from Sky Bet and former Barnsley phyiso, Chris Sedgwick who currently works with the Terriers.

The relay is part of a national initiative involving all 72 EFL stadiums, focused on spreading lifesaving information and encouraging people to learn CPR.

The campaign is a part of league sponsor Sky Bet’s partnership with the British Heart Foundation, as they aim to raise £3m and recruit 270,000 people to learn CPR.
