The Reds are back under the lights at Oakwell on Tuesday 26th August 2025, as Barnsley FC take on local rivals Rotherham United. Kick-off is at 7.45pm, and we can’t wait to see our supporters turning Oakwell red and cheering on Conor Hourihane’s side.


To help make your matchday as smooth and enjoyable as possible, here’s all the key information for Reds fans.

Arrival and Entry


Turnstiles will open from 6:30pm, so we encourage supporters to get down to Oakwell early, soak up the atmosphere, and take your seats in good time. We advise aiming to be seated at least 30 minutes before kick-off to avoid the rush.

Please note:

• 
  Supporters under 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
  
  
• 
  Juvenile (U19) tickets are not available on the turnstiles and must be purchased in advance from the Box Office.
  

Ticket Collection & Purchases

• 
  Home supporters: Pre-ordered tickets can be collected from the South Stand Box Office. To avoid queues, we recommend collecting before 6pm. From 6.30pm, a dedicated collection point will also be available outside the Box Office.
  
  
• 
  Visiting supporters: Duplicate tickets can be collected from the same Box Office from 6.30pm.
  

Parking Information

• 
  Reds supporters: We strongly recommend pre-purchasing a parking ticket for the South Stand car park, as spaces on the night are very limited.
  
  
• 
  Visiting supporters: Please use the Queens Ground car park (S71 1AN). Fees are £5 (cars), £10 (minibuses under 16 seats), and £20 (coaches).
  

Hospitality guests have separate parking arrangements in the East Stand car park via Beevor Court.

Health & Safety Notes


To keep matchdays safe and efficient:

• 
  All car park entry closes 30 minutes before kick-off.
  
  
• 
  Cars may leave during the game (up to the 80th minute), depending on crowd movement.
  
  
• 
  After full-time, vehicles must wait at least 15 minutes before leaving.
  

All movement is managed by the Stadium Safety Officer, and timings may vary.

  North Stand – Visiting supporters

    48, 49: Pre-bought tickets (NS1, NS2, NS3)

    44: Cash/card
    

Late gates will remain open up to 35 minutes after kick-off at the following points:

  North Stand (visitors): Turnstile 44
