Fixtures Barnsley Vs. Lincoln City - Sat, Mar 01 2025, 15:00 Barnsley FC would like to inform supporters of an important update regarding road closures for our upcoming match against Lincoln City on Saturday 1st March 2025 at 15:00. To ensure public safety and minimise disruption, South Yorkshire Police have requested additional road closures around the stadium, which will be in place from approximately 16:30 until 18:15. Please note that the reopening times may vary depending on operational requirements. These additional closures are in place on top of the usual post-match restrictions near Pontefract Road beneath the Harborough Hill flyover, and include the following measures: Road/Car Park Closures and Restrictions: Market Gate Car Park will be closed all day. Railway Station Car Park: Variable access will be allowed, but vehicles will only be able to leave the car park and turn left. Should access be unavailable, pick-up and drop-off services will still be available on Eldon Street/Midland Street. Eldon Street North: Cars can park temporarily for pick-up, but vehicles must remain in place and on double yellow lines between Honeywell Street/Beckett Street and Schwabisch Gmund Way. Schwabisch Gmund Way: This road will be fully closed from the junction with Mottram Street to the junction with Kendray Street/Pontefract Road. However, Mottram Street access/egress will remain open for vehicles to/from Eldon Street North. Other Road Closures/Restrictions: Where roads are closed, vehicles will not be permitted access, and an alternative route will need to be used. Access for Local Businesses: Buzz Bingo: Access to the Buzz Bingo car park will not be possible between 16:00 and 18:30 due to the closure of Schwabisch Gmund Way. However, vehicles will be able to leave the car park at all times and access Harborough Hill (downhill side). Pedestrian access will remain available via Midland Street, Tommy Taylor Memorial Bridge (Market Gate Bridge), Pontefract Road, or Eldon Street North. Railway Station: Pick-up and drop-off will be maintained on Eldon Street North/Midland Street. Please be mindful of the restricted parking area, where vehicles can wait on the double yellow lines but must ensure the driver remains in the vehicle. Roads Not Affected: Eldon Street North Church Street Eldon Street (including taxi rank) Market Hill Shambles Street St Mary’s Place Old Mill Lane Westway Regent Street We ask all supporters to plan their journey ahead of time to ensure smooth travel. Please be aware that any violation of the road closures could result in enforcement action. Police officers will be on-site, and registration numbers may be provided for consideration of further action if necessary. All road closures will be carefully monitored and removed as soon as it is safe to do so.
