Barnsley Football Club is proud to release its season 24/25 Kit, an exciting collaboration with global fashion brand VFILES and Director Julie Anne Quay, in partnership with Puma, our official athletic partner.

Drawing inspiration from the rich history of Barnsley FC and building on the collaboration with fashion designer Colm Dillane /Kid Super from last season, the design process involved further conversation with the Club Historian and feedback from fans, many of whom had a mixed reaction to the viral kit design from season 23/24.

Barnsley historically is one of the oldest and most iconic clubs in the English Football League. With an FA Cup in the Boardroom as well as the winning match ball, the designs this season play on celebrating the wins from the past and using those to inspire the current team to add to the tally.

The all red home shirt features 21 stars on the chest - a nod to each unbeaten game registered during our club record 21-game run in 1934 - a challenge to break in the upcoming 24/25 season. The modified stars are a design continuation of last season's shirt and build on the global recognition of the Barnsley Football Club brand.

The away shirt references the Yorkshire rose - printed large on the chest and body - and symbolises beauty, grace and passion. A nod to an earlier Club crest, Barnsley is proudly Yorkshire born and bred.

In the continued spirit of honouring the past while forging a new path for the future, special attention was given to Toby Tyke, the Club's beloved mascot. As part of this exciting collaboration, an updated badge and bright pink colour scheme were introduced for the third kit, which also features Toby's face subtly integrated into the front panel and back of neck. Toby himself made a trip to New York City this week to star in the media campaign for the 24/25 season.

The newly unveiled kits proudly showcase the Club's tradition and iconic history while positioning the designs in such a way that the shirts can be worn on the field and off, free to be individually interpreted by Club fans, fashion fans and players alike.

“Barnsley Football Club is a place of possibilities. Being true to who we are at all times, with muck, nettles, grit, and backbone, is at the heart of our identity. We believe that these kits represent the authenticity, determination, and resilience that define the Club. Similarly VFILES is a place of opportunity - discovering, identifying and incubating what’s new all in the worlds of fashion, music and now football. If you want to be heard, you have to make noise. That is our mantra and the way we build, authentically loud and proud." - Julie Anne Quay

This partnership between Barnsley FC and VFILES showcases our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, creativity, and pushing boundaries.

To celebrate the launch of the 24/25 season kits, two photoshoots were conducted, one at Oakwell featuring team members from the men's team, the academy team, and our women's team and one in NYC featuring NYC fans, young creators and of course Toby Tyke.

The Men’s, Children’s and Infant kits will retail without any advertisements on the front of the shirt whilst we are proud to include the logo of our sponsor Parliament on the back of each jersey.
All women's shirts will feature the VFILES logo, with the New York brand once again proudly supporting our commitment Women’s team this season. Additionally, both teams will proudly wear the logo of Rapid Response Telecoms as the back of shorts sponsor. These sponsorships reflect the local roots and global reach of Barnsley FC in the contemporary world.

The Home kit will be the first to be released with all kids sizes and adults sizes Small to Large in store and online on 24th July. Sizes XL – 4XL and Women’s fit shirts will be released by the end of August.

Our Away kit will go on sale on 2nd August.

Finally our 24/25 third kit will be available on 9th August.

The unveiling of the 24/25 season kits marks another exciting chapter in the history of Barnsley FC. The Club is grateful for the support of its loyal fans, partners, and sponsors and is eager to kick off the new season in style.

Our Yorkshire-inspired Away shirt will be worn for the first time this Saturday, July 13th in our pre-season game against Alfreton Town. Up the Tykes!

Stay tuned for the release of the 24/25 Goalkeeper kits…

Think we preferred it when you’d disappeared, we don’t need reminding we’ll have to watch us in this embarrassment of a range of kits.
