Barnsley FC is pleased to announce that today’s secondary pitch inspection, conducted at 12pm, has passed. As such, our Sky Bet League One fixture against Wigan Athletic is set to go ahead as planned at Oakwell.

Club officials and the referee team carried out a thorough assessment of the pitch to ensure it meets the required standards for play. Despite recent weather conditions, the ground staff’s hard work has paid off, leaving the surface looking pristine and ready for action.

This followed an earlier pitch inspection at 10am which was also passed by the referee with club officials present.

With all systems go, fans can look forward to an exciting clash as the Reds aim to continue their strong run of form in the league. Kick-off remains at 3pm, and the turnstiles will open at 1:30pm to welcome supporters to Oakwell.

Thank you for your continued support, and we’ll see you at the match. Let’s get behind the team and make it a day to remember!
