Irish striker Barry Conlon has moved to fellow League Two side Mansfield. Conlon, who re-joined the Quakers in the summer following a two-year spell at Barnsley has struggled to regain his form and has now joined Mansfield Town on a free transfer. Things were looking good for Big Baz when he re-joined Darlington, he hoped to be part of the push for League One football and scored a hat-trick on his return in the 4-0 home win over Macclesfield on the opening day of the season. "They are just going to take his contract over," Darlington boss Dave Penney explained. "He came to the club on a free and it hasn't really happened for him. Sometimes they say you should never go back. We just felt it was best for him to move on and get his career going elsewhere. It frees some wages up and allows us to bring someone else in."
