I'm hearing that tomorrow is when the board will meet, and discuss the potential candidates. I'm also led to believe that SOD, Megson and Davies are interested. So that means it'll be Carlton Palmer assisting Mark McGhee.
I'm not Don Rowing, Patrick or Jean Cryne, nor am I invisible. So it's always going to be difficult to know anything for sure, as I'm sure you appreciate. But if I hear, or I am told something, and it's from a reliable source, I may as well share it. Personally, I want a Megson/Moore combo. Or one of either. Not so keen on SOD, or Davies, but rather them than some of the names in the running - Blackwell, Palmer etc.
It's not a rumour, the meeting. Think it's common knowledge if you listen to the right folk. So you're probably right about him saying as much.
Hes someone i've liked for a while. Was sat behind Billy watching a reserve game and a few others of the Nottingham coaches were there. Seemed very different to the Davies you see on interviews before and after matches.
he wasn't angry when i was sat behind him. In fact he was constantly joking and laughing for 90 mins.
Why would SOD be interested when if he's patient he could have the Huddersfield or Wolves jobs within the next month or two?
You'd have to ask him that I suppose. I'm not actually convinced he's either interested, nor the right man. Personally.
who ever they choose it wants to be quick and not at the end of transfer dead line so he can get shut of the dead wood and dreamers and replace them to give us any chance of survival
Doesn't the entire Scottish nation swear a lot and are always angry? That's my experience of the Sweaty Socks anyway. Please don't single out Billy Davies here !!!
Billy Davies does have proven ability at championship level, Forest were almost down and out when he took over. I see others saying that he whinges about money, two things to note, 1. Which manager doesn't? Keith Hill anyone ! 2. If on appointment the new manager is told what financial constraints exist, then its upto them to decide whether to accept the job or not. If we could get Mr Davies as new manager, he would be a big step up on our last two appointments.
