"We have been funded by Patrick Cryne to the tune of about £5million, which has bought us some time to try and rectify the situation, so any extra revenue we can bring in has to be extremely beneficial. top bloke sir ...
what gets me if god bless the man,if he had 5 large to put into the club, why was he not aproched when we were only up **** creak for less than half that amount, then all the Doyle/admin saga would hav been avoided.
RE: Big John & his mates the way i got it was he wasnt asked co the admin at the time didnt want to lose control etc ..
RE: Come clean JD PC offered £2million, plus the transfer fee and wages for Ashley Ward, but was knocked back by Dennis and co. Clearly, for that sort of investment, PC wanted something in return - a seat on the board - and that put JD off. The rest, as they say, is history.
I was told... that PC wanted the entire club if the club could not repay the money in 12 months. I don't claim this as fact like.
Let's not dwell on this and the whys and wherefores - now is the time to look forward, put our dark days behind us and move onwards and upwards to promotion! COME ON YOU REDS!
RE: During the administration process I mean prior to administration - when we were facing relegation from what is now The Championship. I believe that PC offered £2million and enough to fund Ashley Ward's transfer fee and wages - in return for a seat on the board. Could be wrong. Memory might be playing tricks.
