You managed to take a good theme tune and destroy it with pathetic timing, repetitiveness and absolutely dog ***** editing. Congratulations on destroying any atmosphere before the game kicked off
That's so unfair!! Did it ruin your match-day experience? Game kicked off 3 minutes late, blame the ref for the dog-shiteness. Or actually Martin Cranie, if you watch the tunnel cam vid.
Well it's a 6 minute song that was played in its entirety (with the fanfare before it) then walking in a winter wonderland was played and THEN the players came out to timerider being put on again but talked over whilst fan noise was piped into the stadium
Agree, but I think it was to prove we dont need it!! Backfired big style !! Whoever is in charge of the timing of the music is **** at it !
is that your biggest concern over Barnsley FC ... the entry music I reckon there may be a few more bigger concerns right now fella
Re: is that your biggest concern over Barnsley FC ... the entry music I really hope that Danny wilson isn't in charge of pressing play before the team comes out
L O L in 'spades' that really did mek me laugh yer daft bugger. we may well go down matey, but we will still have a club. That's the main thing.
Didn't bother me, I was just waiting for Danny. The announcement was a bit previous, but if they had left the dressing room on time for a 3pm kick off it would have worked. Maybe we need a big gay fusspot match-day choreographer, "places people" and "cue the music" etc.... Doesn't bother me, life's too short and painful to worry about trivial stuff like that. If you think that kills an atmosphere, the crowd's not up for it in the first place.
Yeah it would have been nice to be played as the players were coming out. As it would have been nice for the new TVs to not be switched off for a second match in a row. Or how Lindleys have so few serving the queue went from the counter to the exit gates. Or how we have hard metal advertising boards so close to the touchline that every match it looks like a player is going to get seriously injured from them. Today it was Danns and JOB had to hurdle them to avoid being hurt. Or how we never use Ponte car park lights so you always see someone nearly getting run over in the dark. Or how for our matchday programme Newcastle youth cup game report it mentioned the Bolton lineup. Or that we had no half time draw....
Commented on this at the time. Awful timing. Took all the zest out of the entrance. No one joined in clapping to Timerider because the players were nowhere to be seen. By the time it started it's second run everybody was bored of it anyway. The Winter Wonderland song was great, just not so quietly played it took a minute to work out what it was. MUCH more important concerns of course, but what a royal mess they made of a potentially great entrance.
