You may remember that few weeks since I posted that I was thinking about buying a bike to help get fitter.

Anyway, after getting help off here, work announced they were doing a bike hire scheme (BikeBoost) so I signed up. I picked up my bike today and have the option of buying t cheap if I do a course or two.

I've ridden home (cycling for the first time in years), and I'm chuffing knackered. But I'm pleased I've done it. I'll cycle in and home tomorrow then have Friday off I think.

No point to my post really except to say thanks to those who replied to my last message.

Great to here, hope you've got a helmet even though you're only going to work. You might be able to get accessorise on your work scheme. Also for fun time yourself too and from work and see if you can beat it. It will help to show how your fitness is improving.

Yes, I got quite a few accessories including helmet. I didn't look at what time I set off home today rather annoyingly, but it will be doing so tomorrow. If I'm any less out of breath it can only be a good thing.

I've just started cycling to get a bit of fitter, getting out of Ossett is great all down hill and there are some lovely canal routes but its the getting home where I'm struggling. So far so good but I'm not so sure when it starts getting colder.
