    Probably because he has blown all the cash on other positions. Davies is a joke.

    Is the same Billy Davies that got Preston in the play offs two years running and the took Derby from relegation fodder to the Premier League in his first season?? Doesn't sound like a joke to me.

    I just don't like him, something about him. And all those things you mention him doing, all in the past, just like Davey's semi final, so you can't use them to say what he is like now.

    He has a track record of achieving things over a 46 game season - not winning a couple of (very good) cup games so there's no comparison

    I am taking Davey's previous into account - three years of, in most part tripe, and the four games so far this season have reinforced that opinion. That's why I don't want him to get ten games as I'm convinced he isn't up to it and any stay of execution would be pointless.

    They got a few loan players in, can't remember them signing many players in January.

    Fair enough the likes of Blackstock, Gunter, McSheffrey etc who were on loan will have been on quite high wages.

    Why is that?

    He's taken Preston to the play-offs twice in a row. Losing once in the final and the other in the semi-final.

    Took Derby up at the 1st time of asking.

    But of course, Davey's kept us up 3 years in a row hasn't he.....
