Would not give BFC the steam off their ****. It really is silly that people are seriously suggsting either as a candidate. Think more Phil Brown, Megson or Barmby at best... I'm not really convinced that O'Driscoll would take it either.
You are stating an opinion - I dont agree - I think its likely we could afford the likes of Brown and Megson and they are acheivable - though I dont really want Megson - Brown may be OK. We could probably even afford the salary of Davies and Coyle but I doubt the last 2 would come as they would want to spend money on players we cant give them but thats my opinion and I may be wrong - I'd love to have Coyle but I doubt he will come - but I may be wrong on that.
I like that our fans have realism when it comes to who a realistic manager could be, Wednesday in this situation would seriously be talking about getting Guardiola. That being said, a jobs a job and just because they might have got £500,000 a year at a previous club, it doesn't mean they wouldn't accept £200,000 a year - it's a lot better than £0 a year. Sean O'Driscoll, for example, will probably continue to receive his wage from Forest and if we offered him a lesser amount than this, I'd imagine he'd be able to negotiate with Forest for them to pay the difference. It depends on whether he wants to get straight back into work or sit on a beech somewhere waiting for something like the Wolves job to come up.
Why not? Coyle had a good run at Burnley (very similar club to ours) and was sacked at Bolton so I can't imagine he is being inundated with job offers from bigger clubs. He's out of work and would want a challenge so I think he is a manager we could attract if he was the man our board wanted.
I think the likes are Davies and Coyle are affordable too as they are only worth what people are willing to pay..
