Very moving. The mention of the Barnsley fan was totally irrelevant to the article and seemed strangely out of place in my opinion. If they really HAD to bring a negative bit up, I'd have thought the Donny fan on twitter would have been their choice. Anyway, all the best to them both.

I think that the mention of the Barnsley fan actually makes us as a club look a little better. When it was first mentioned it was that Barnsley fans were chanting and in my opinion this is what people will have remembered. That article however says A Barnsley fan. Just one. It's only one line but it makes it quite clear that the arsehole who did it was alone.

A very touching article indeed. As a parent I can't imagine the pain he and his partner went through and will still go through. I have a lot of respect for Billy Sharp for dealing with his loss in the way he did.

I do wish the article hadn't brought up the moron who tried to bring so much shame on our fans. Just goes to show how some mud sticks.

We're lucky to have a comedy genius like thereev leading the way. His greatness seems to be rubbing off on us forumites.

Is this any different to anyone else who has lost a child and hasn't had it splashed over the press.
Sharpe and his wife are no different to the ordinary families in the street who have lost a child.
Footballers don't have the premium on grief. They don't suffer any more than the working a class family who lose a child.
Losing a child is horrific for anyone.
