You should see the bins in Liverpool - (Sefton borough council I think) - I sometimes have to drive through to visit a customer in Bootle and if it's purple bin day it looks like the street has got a contagious disease.
As mrshalls said I've been in Derbyshire for the last seven, eight years. I had a bin for rubbish bin for grass and a bin for glass.
When i was a kid all the houshold waste was converted into energy... It went on the fire. We then had the standard metal bin that used to be collected by the binman (it was never full). After emptying it was returned to the back of the house. My dad also got picked up for work by his employer in them days.. the NCB bus. "If carlsberg did bin collecting"
If you are talking about Barnsley then Green wheelie bin - cardboard and garden waste Brown wheelie bin or green box (just to confuse folk) - Glass, cans, plastic bottles Blue wheelie bin or bag - paper Gray/black bin - everything else. Bin Laden - bullets.
Here in Bradford, the green bin is for general household waste, the grey one is for garden waste, and blue for glass, cans etc. And, unlike in tarn, we have ours collected every week. Just put mine out this morning actually.
