    Yep, but it was a good dive!

    Just a pain walking home to Hoyland Common afterwards!

    did tha go past forge an up cloughs or up main road through hoyland on thee way back t'common? preffered cloughs meesen

    wish a were on my way to birdcage tonight . good day . we won . every thing's ok . prospect / turf / gardener's / ball inn . straight to bird cage . only not many remember . good times . ..... . well off to local :-|

    i once got stuck on the railing's out side ,well got lifted up on them . with fat frank& arthur tattershall. both bobbies. never liked me then. anybody remember them two . they were the scourge of the hoyland bobbies . good times then .......met em both years after . both were ok /......

    I went a few times after being out in Sheffield and remember a lad called Billy Bacon , always did a mooney on last train back whilst doing a back flip down the carriage,but Elsecar folk have always been a bit like that

    seen a few lasses do a few a them. out side birdcage& across at them garages directly across road from birdcage. memories.... oh dear.....

    i were only a bairn me self . when i lived there . well 16yrs old . glad someone else remembers arthur. you're right he were miserable bugger & a lot more/....
