A wierd bird has just landed on my window ledge. It was the size of a kestel with blue wings, a blueish head and a white front. Anyone recognise it?

    Sounds like a male sparrowhawk.

Saw one of them in my back garden yesterday catch and eat a magpie. 'Twas far more entertaining than listening to the football.

Is it that blue eagle off the Muppets that does the presidential address bit?

That's the image I have in my mind.
