Just the kind of game we could win... we have done well against the bigger teams this season.. Plus they have had alot of games recently i think they have played setday-midweek for the past month or so.. so that should be catching up with them soon.

Hill seems to revel in playing these sort of games.. Leeds h&a, Leicester, Reading just to name a few. he seems to revel more in the underdog mentallty. Us against them kinda thing, the have's and the have nots...

Come 5 o clock setday night if the results go our way we could 18 points above relegation. job done i reckon......

I understand heavy snow is forecast for Friday and Saturday, so it may be in danger of being called off?
If it is called off and then is played one Tuesday evening, we will win. Yet another game we win which the London Tykes do not see ; )

Birmingham's away form isn't upto much

It's quite similar to ours if I remember right, so I fancy us to give them a game at least.

Got to go back 16 matches for the last time they conceeded two goals, what a defence. 9 clean sheets in their last 15 games and only 6 conceeded. Leeds United the only team to score against them in their last 7 games. If we beat these with our defence it will be the best win we've had all season.

Derby had kept 4 clean sheets in the league (over 360 minutes of football) before coming to Oakwell and we scored 3 past them in just 30 mins.

Hull had only lost once in their first 7 away matches and had the best away record in the Championship - they came to Oakwell and were beaten 2 - 1.

We were only the 2nd team to score at St. Andrews this season against Birmingham back in September, the only other team who did that was Braga. We were also the first Championship team to come away with a point from Birmingham.

So all in all, these stats mean nowt - anybody can beat anybody in the Championship

We don't seem to be able to beat anyone in the top 6. That's not a criticism really, I don't expect us to, but when you said any team can beat any other I think we really struggle against the very top sides and I don't expect that to change on Saturday.

    Hope I'm wrong though, obviously.

We have gained 7 points from a possible 12 against the bottom three having only lost 1 in 4 games. We haven't won a single game against anyone in the top 6 yet picking up only 1 point from a possible 18.

    PPG against top 6: 0.167
    PPG against bottom 3: 1.75

Points over course of a season against bottom 3 = 81
Points over course of a season against top 6 = 8

Against bottom 3 = play-offs at least EVERY year for the last 10 years (at least)
Against top 6 = certain relegation EVERY year.

    I suggest a rethink.

In the words of our resident cola spiller, hope this helps

I think our record in 1911/1912 was pretty good against teams in the cup ergo we will get to the final this year. Oh **** no we won't because we aren't in 1912.

You know how it works ST. You're wrong because we did well against the top 6 in 2004/05.

Jay mentioned we can't beat anyone in the top 6. Hemsworth says we do well against the top 6. Hemsworth is proved wrong so he changes it to the top 3. hemsworth is still wrong so it becomes the top 3 2 years ago. Classic

    He should be a psychic.

him: you've been ill recently havent you
    punter: no
him: but you were ill once right?
    punter: omg you're amazing

Not a clue. Was just pulling out random ***** like some others do. I actually think we were in L1 in 04/05, year before the play off season wasn't it? Newcastle game was only a couple of seasons ago. Or am I missing some humour?

Can you actually do that for teams that were in the top 6 when we played them, rather than teams that finished in the top 6.

All you're missing is the ability to see who i'd replied to ;)

The oracle said we did well against the top 3 in 09/10. In 09/10 we got hammered by newcastle (one of the top three) 6-1. We also lost against forest, another of the top three. In fact we only managed to win 2 out of 6 games against the top three sides that year.

It's ok though, he'll pick another year soon enough.
