Cant comment on last nights game but apparantly he held up and laid off the ball for some good chances (one of which scored) but on Setdy i watched him closely and found he WON 80% of balls in the air, laid off the majority of balls he held up and hit two excellent 40 yard long accurate passes to set up attacks. Oh and he scored a goal. Not bad contribution in my book. Though there is no pleasing some people eh SM?
Barry conlon a rate player .. we just need to have more confidence in him and give him time .. and then he will not only create chances he will be scoring them aswell
no offence but he didnt win anywhere near 80% of the balls that were put his way it was more like 20% if that.
RE: no offence but he didnt win anywhere near 80% of the balls that were put his way No. He counted each and every one.
I've worked out what it is If you like Barry Conlon you're a proper fan, if you don't you're not. I could take him or leave him, so i guess I'm half a fan.
must be crap at counting then he appealed for a foul in more than the 20% of balls that he apparently didnt win.
dunt matter ... it does not realy matter if he won 80% or 20% .. what matter is if he is performing and setting goals up ... which he seems to be doing now because he is picking his form back up
They've missed some of my better work in the Carbon and Shuker area. mind you, they've had 2 good games an all.
AM i'll do a Bazzawatch for all games i attend and report the facts whether he had a good game or a bad game. Cant say fairer than that! And i'll try not to have too many pints of the black stuff beforehand for fear of any bias.
sounds fair to me if you could make a note of the amount of times he touches the ball inside the area (theirs not ours) that would be good too. i dont think you'll need to sharpen your pencil more than once a season whilst noting them down though ff
The goal he scored on Saturday seem to give him a new found confidence,he did look very poor again up to his goal, seemed to stand off too much.
