...the three newer stands at Oakwell being built?

I'm a bit of a geek for photos of things that are under construction, particularly football stands, and can vaguely remember seeing them being built but never took any photographs.

I remember seeing the architects drawings prior to it being built. Think it was Yorkshire Brick that got the contract.

Anyway, should be called the Carl Tiler Stand, not East Stand. It was his transfer to Notts Forest that paid for it.

I've got a vague one of the east stand mid construction, taken from the car park. Will post it tomorrow.

Brilliant that mate, unbelievable how much it's changed. Remember having my first go in a car on the land at the back of the Ponte End - seems like yesterday now I've seen this pic.

Think it was Gary Coatsworth- but I thought he 'only' scored 2.

I lived up Belgrave Rd up to getting married, just about every kid round there learned to ride motor bikes and drive cars on the old car park. Big fires every bonfire night, but the best bit was playing cheeky with the girls in the old plantation at the bottom of the car park. O happy days.
