From a thread on one of our websites, name the grounds you've visited that have been demolished. At one stage (early 90's) I only had 4 left to visit out of the 92 - couldn't be bothered to finish them though. Sure I've missed some, but mine would be:

    Ninian Park
    Highbury
    Maine Road
    Manor Ground
    Somerton Park
    Vetch Field
    Layer Road
    Eastville
    Burnden Park
    Roker Park
    Goldstone Ground
    Baseball ground
    Feethams
    Elm Park
    The Dell
    The Den
    Filbert Street
    Highfield Road
    Fellows Park
    Ayresome Park
    Boothferry Park
    Gay Meadow
    Sealand Road
    The Old Show Ground
    Leeds Road
    County Ground
    Dean Court
    Millmoor
    Victoria Ground
    Wembley

    Anyone got any others?

    Has Saltergate been levelled yet?
Been out of comission a while but was still standing last time I was in Chesterfield (that was a while ago though)

Millmoor is still standing isn't it. I'm not sure the Titans aren't going to use it or did I dream that?

went to Nene Park a few years back which is still standing but I think it is now unoccupied after Rushden went bust and then I think Kettering moved in then out again but I could be wrong.

Grounds that you have missed off - Maidstone, though i have forgotten what it was called, Peel Park where the original incarnation of Accrington Stanley played, and another famous one which no longer exists is The Huish, but am pretty sure it never hosted league football.

Saw my first football games at the Old Show Ground. S****horpe v Liverpool in maybe 1980 and v Spurs in 1981. Both pre-season friendlies sat on concrete seats. When I finally went to Oakwell a year or two later and sat on a plastic seat in the west stand it must have felt like proper luxury.

Being really pedantic, I am not sure you can say that Highbury was demolished - I think that most of the stands stayed and got turned into apartments, with a park in the middle on the old pitch. They were listed buildings.

true, but it was completely demolished and rebuilt in one go. even the orientation of the pitch was changed, so it is effectively an entirely new stadium.

Can't add any to the ones I've been to in this country but did the Maracana if we're going worldwide.
