Bitterly disappointed tonight

The lads certainly put the effort in, but there was little quality on show. An archetypal cup tie, with lots of passion but hardly any skill on show. Too many of our usually dependable players had an off day, although I felt Isgrove thoroughly deserved his MOTM award. In my opinion we looked very disjointed, but improved when Ashley Fletcher came on. I thought the kid took his chance exceptionally well.
If we can get our better players back on form for the second leg, along with Watkins & Scowen hopefully back fit, then this tie is still very much alive.
