I'd like to wish Danny all the best in his career. I've really enjoyed watching him play and believe the player and the club have done well by each other. It'd have been better had he stayed with us for the remainder of the season, but, in football and life, you don't always get what you want.
Hopefully, whoever gets the chance to make the position their own takes that opportunity. Be that a player currently in the first team squad (Doyle, Wiseman, Done for example), one of the youngsters from the Academy, or a player/s from outside the club (whether it's a permanent or loan deal).
I still believe Hill and Flitcroft are the right men for the job, that we'll finish the season comfortable in mid table, we'll continue on the whole playing attractive football and will keep progressing as a club with them at the helm.

he's not our player, so there is really very little we can do about it short of out-bidding Leicester.

I'm more concerned with the regulars... I fear the heart is going to get ripped out of a side that hasn't really got started yet. Just as we look like building a team that the players will WANT to play for and supporters will want to come and watch. This is why crowds are dropping, things are so transient and you don't feel you are buying into anything. The club slowly drifts to the back of a lot of supporters' minds, it stops being a priority.

What now? Another raid on the lower leagues? There's only so many lumps of coil you can polish at once, even if you are Keith Hill.

Arsene Wenger agrees with you there, so you are good company.
