Are to regroup to the original band and hopefully do a tour in 2012. Just thought some people would be interested.
I'm not really a fan of the heavy metal genre but I know some who are and they are quite excited about this tour so I imagine it will sell out.
Quite by coincidence this was played on the radio today http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?bmb=1&v=rPo5jTQ39eE
Laughable just a bunch of old farts trying to make more money before they snuff it,not saying that we're not good in there in there heyday but please!
I saw 'em at Donington in 2005 and Ozzy's voice was breaking a bit. I think they're a bit old now for that type of music but the first six albums are all classics.
Age is irrelevant, I've seen The Who a few times, most recently in 2009 and Daltry and Townsend must be older than Ozzy and co but still sounded fantastic. Daltry had no problems with his voice. If they can still perform well then age really is just a number.
I think it depends on the type of music though - you couldn't have 70 year olds in a Death Metal band or a boyband!
I see your point lol. Townsend did still go with the windmill action but it was more pedestrian than in his pomp.
