Due to the money that a decent away following will bring the Oyston's. They're pleased that it's not a game which will draw a particularly big crowd. http://www.backhenrystreet.co.uk/thread-30917.html #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Looking on another of their boards they are quite chuffed, they don't think we will take many and think it's winnable, boring, uninspiring draw is how the describe it, hope we stuff em, got every sympathy re their struggle again OO but at the moment they are just ripping into other clubs supporters, not going to gain them many friends...
I'm going. The Oyston thing ain't my battle, as much as he is a massive weapon. I sympathise, but it didn't stop me going to see us Lee Johnson ourselves out of three points last year; and it won't stop me this time.
I'll be going the cup money is split 40/40/20 so oyston won't make that much out of 3k reds and 1k blackpool fans always a good away day blackpool
Managed to get myself labelled "designated driver" to avoid having to endure another night out there & nights "sleep" in the choice b&bs they have there. Looking forward to the game mind be a decent neck workout looking round them columns again for 90 mins
We need to win the tie and get prize money that way for the tie to be worthwhile. 40% of the gate is going to be very little because of the home fans protesting. They will love being drawn at home yet again so they have more say in what happens. Dunno if they did it at the weekend but for their first round opponents they had a fundraising page so people who were boycotting the match could donate to them 6 quid (their 40%) so their opponents didn't get punished. I doubt that Blackpool fans will start a similar page for us
45/45/10 split for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th round matches unless you get a non league side when it is 50/40/10 with non leaguers gerrin the 50%.
Some fans moan from time to time, but I'm really glad we're not Blackpool, or Oldham - or any number of other clubs that once made it to the top flight and have suffered ever since. When you see what's going on there it makes you count your blessings. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Living where I do it would be churlish not to go. Blackpool fans (and I work with many) accept that away supporters will want to support their team, but ask that no other support is given to OO. So they ask: - No purchase of refreshements inside or immediatley outside the ground. - Don't buy a programme. - Don't stay in the adjacent Travel lodge etc
It's not like going in the league where all the away ticket money goes to the home club. Only time I will ever go to franchise fc is in the cup. I'll be at Blackpool supporting my team I won't buy anything that could make oysten money but I'm looking forward to it. Reakon we will get behind the net and the wooden away end on side like last year be more of us than them!!
Oyston is something else though. He's the polar opposite of Patrick Cryne. Nasty ******* just bleeding money out the club, openly hates the fans, taking them to court for objecting to how he's running the club. Not my battle, but they've my full support.
However much of a dick he is as a person, nobody can ever take away from him that he's gave them some of their best days in their history. Bit like Simon Davey with us some might say
