Some good goals there. And some sloppy defending. Winnall 2 goals + 1 assists, not bad. Nice to see Templeton score as well, was that his professional debut? And most importantly, we're out of the relegation zone at last. Onwards and upwards.
Cheers Tomi. Don't think Winnall can believe he's scored for a couple of seconds when he nods in the first. For me, the most impressive part of his performance isn't the two goals, it's when he's on a hattrick and running towards goal, but he doesn't go for glory, he makes the right choice and plays in a team mate in a better position. Contrary to some of the stuff I've read, I believe that's a player who wants to do well for his club and his manager. I had a go at Winnall on here after the last match. I thought he was very poor and I suggested he should be dropped for the next game. He answered that criticism emphatically, not just with the goals and the assist, but his all round play was back to the standard he was displaying regularly before the injury. Well done Sam. More please.
I think that's because he wasn't sure exactly how it went in. You can't tell from that video, but from where I was sat in the East Stand it looked quite clear that it was an own goal - his header was going wide but hit their defender and went in.
Not quite. He got a minute or two at Glanford Park on October 31st in the 2-0 league defeat. But yesterday was his home debut. Icing on the cake when I saw the number on the back of the player reeling away and realised who had scored. Well done kid!
Watched it quite a lot now Jay and I either hes totally missed it or caught it very fine because it didn't look right at the time and as I say watched it up on 20 times now and it take a big deflection of the blackpool defender. Could do with snicko from cricket for it.
Cheers Tomi How the fek did ref not see handball for their second? Seems a bit of gamesmanship by the ref probably wanting to even summat else up imo
