Does anyone know if the new stand at the end is open/will be used to house a section for us when we go in December? I'm going, all ready booked train tickets, but would rather sit in the new stand with a roof than that open temp stand along the side! It was nice sat there last September...but in December :D

according to footballgroundguide.com its still the temp stand for this season, away fans will be allocated part of the north stand when the new south stand is complete. the site has webcam and from the view shown the new stand looks complete so this info may not be accurate regarding time scales.

it will be for the home fans

The plan is to move the home fans from the other end into the new end and give a section of the other end to away fans. So away fans wont get the brand new stand but at least they'll be in one of the newer ones which are all pretty much the same anyway

It's ARMFIELD on the new stand. The plans are to open it for their derby against Preston the week before our match but so far there's already been delays so it's likely we'll just miss it.

    To be fair ...

I would rather be loved by Stephen Gately's ghost while watching Michael Jackson's ghost bum my kids than go to Blackpool for an evening.

Ghosts aren't real though, so it's not particularly likely.
