I've never been before and by all accounts the away end is a bit of a dump. Its uncovered I hear and can be quite nasty when its windy and rainy! Its gonna be freezing on Tuesday night!

I've heard theres some pay and display car parks across the road from the ground - anyone who's been before - is this reight?

    Yep

    Plenty of places to park.

The away stand is temporary, so there's no roof or anything, and it does move/sway in the sea breeze!

yes massive P&D opposite the ground, away end is temporary seating uncovered but I suppose its reflected in the price.

Decent brewers fayre type pub just down the road from ground.

Best pub is about 1/2 mile from the ground

You can park for nowt on the street which is parallel to the promenade, behind tussauds / golden mile.

    The Pump & Truncheon, 13 Bonny Street, FY1 5AR,
    (GBG 2006, GBG 2007 page 238)

This is opposite the Police Station, a hundred yards/metres or so South of the Town's famous Grade I listed Tower (www.theblackpooltower.co.uk), Central Promenade, FY1 4BJ, of Ballroom and its Wurlitzer organ, Circus and the Tower itself fame. Under the stewardship of Keith Slater, The Pump & Truncheon, which was formerly The Brunswick Hotel, and once in the Hogshead chain, has a marvellous selection of beers, including examples from the town's Blackpool Brewery, such as BPA (Blackpool Pale Ale) (4.2%).
