In honour of the 60th anniversary of the Matthews final, they are charging the slightly awkward price of £195.30. Wonder how many we would have sold if we'd charged the equally awkward price of £188.70 last year?
makes you wonder if we had taken the gamble and gone £125 for last season how many would have renewed after the way we finished the season. hindsight is a wonderful thing but we may just rue the fact we didn't bother
One off, poorly advertised reductions do not work. I don't understand why people struggle to see this
Wouldn't work. People can't be bothered to go whatever the price (as shown by various special offers) for varying reasons. If people don't want to go, they won't no matter what the price. Only way to really get significant number back at oakwell consistently is challenging top 6 IMO.
It's worked at every other club that's done it Hudders, Bradford... I'll stick to the clubs that have tried it rather than The Don's predictions...
Triple? That on Dons calculator? We give a lot of our season tickets away already. Doubt we would need 21,000 STs to cover the sum we receive from them currently. What we got 7,000 inc kids free ones?
Price of adult tickets is nearly thirded so we'd need to nearly triple the number. Sounds about right to me. No way would we be able to raise anywhere near the revenue we currently get with such a drastic cut in ticket prices. Price is just one of many factors why people don't turn up.
It would be if all of those 7,000 tickets were adults, but throw in students, juveniles, OAPs and free ones and its completely different. Every club that's done it have improved their attendances and kept a lot of support for seasons after.
