Sold 11500 tickets already..... https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/...ad-as-a-spectator-and-maybe-as-boss-1-9629710 Be interesting to see if fans hang around to give them five figure crowds long term or it's like when Coventry returned to the Ricoh and crowds soon sunk back down again once the returning novelty has worn off.
Bird **** on seats struck a cord... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ry-McPhillips-shambolic-club-theres-hope.html Could be a sell out at the weekend for them. Great insight as to how poorly the Oyston family ran the club and the statue of a club legend.
Good luck to them they've been through 5 years of hell with that ****** Oyston but stuck to their guns . Proper old fashioned decent club and fans .
They are in a good position to make the play offs. I hope they do it too. Hopefully a new owner/s will be found and they will avoid any insolvency disciplinaries from the F.A..
Yeah....they deserve all the luck in the world. Apart from when they come to Oakwell in April obviously
I can see them having a bit of momentum. They are still in with a chance of the playoffs & if they got there they may be a force to be reckoned with.
...and we lost to them at Doomfield, albeit in the cup. If it has to be the play-offs for us, I'd not fancy us against Coventry (our away record there and the Robins factor), Blackpool (a new dawn post-Oyston) or Sunderland (the officials would make damn sure they won.) Give me anyone else. Luton, Portsmouth, Donneh, Peterborough, Charlton: we'll kill them.
I think we are a great team, but for me it is top 2, or we'll probably miss out to a Blackpool or as you say Coventry.... Nothing is nailed on. I'm hoping Daniel has a few that can step up to cover injuries & suspensions. It's not doom & gloom from me, but Kiefer, Brown & McGeehan out is a big, big lost at this point of the season. I'm underwhelmed by Bahre & Hedges in terms of assists & goals. Can Victor step up? I'm sat on my prayer mat, praying
I was reasonably happy with the transfer window in the sense that we only lost Potts. But I felt we could have done with a couple more in. We've only got three central defenders (unless there is someone ready to step up from the U23s), and there isn't much cover for Cavaré as I am not sure Jordan Williams is ready. A centre-back who can fill in on the right would have been nice. Daniel seems to have decided - with good reason - that Thiam and Brown are more useful out wide than up top. But that left us with only two forwards plus Adeboyejo, who is very promising but is more of a sub than a starter. Then Gabriel Zakuani happened... we're very thin in attack. We should be okay on Saturday without the three you mention. But for Sunderland? I dunno. And Donny have a chip on their shoulder about us... I'd have liked a couple more through the door. That said, I am good at spending other people's money.
To be fair they kept up well after relegation. I remember going the under flicker when Jase Scotland scored and we won 2-1 that was in the championship a season or 2 after they came down. We took just under 2k I think the attendance was decent around 16k I remember the barnsley fans sang "where were you when you were ****". Glad they have their club back minght be a better away day with more home fans.
Interesting view about Saturday. I would suggest that if we underestimate Accrington, they will turn us over.
