The Don and Barry will be picking the manager don't kid yourself, this is one decision Pat won't have the main say in, his missus will have more of a say. He'll put his trust in those three.
He'll have the final say, he won't have picked the candidates, all the horse work will have been done by The Don & Barry. 10 years ago Pat was a ST holder like many on here, he's no great ex professional who knows the game inside out just because he bought a football club.
Whatever the Don does, he always gets the blame, that's the sad thing. Judging by all the recent posts here, I think that the "right" decision at the moment would be to appoint Flitcroft, even though not many of us wanted him to get the job before yesterday. But a lot of fans (including me) have changed their mind now, so if the Don wants to please the fans, appointing Flitcroft could be the right thing to do. Perhaps that's not ambitious enough for some though, and as soon as we lose a few games, people will blame the Don again. If we appoint someone else as the manager, then the Don "didn't listen to the fans" and it's his fault again.
