Downloaded version 11 cos it asked me to update.

Now it's changed all me MP3 music icons to windows media ones, instead of the ones i had before.

Don't like it. Thing is, I have a lot of downloads from vinyl in progress, which are wav files. The old system told me which were which. Now they are all mixed up and i can't tell which are converted to MP3 and which aren't.

Do I uninstall WMP 11, or will that just foul it all up - or can I go into some setting and re-establish the old player settings, which I preferred?

    Any help appreciated.

Go into My Computer, and select Tools -> Folder Options.
Once in Folder Options, select 'File Types' and from here you can find MP3 files. In there you can change the program that opens MP3 files by default, or if your happy with MEdia Player, just change the icon associated with MP3's. You can do this for all your other music files too.
