Went walking yesterday and it was wet. Not soaking but wet. And my waterproof boots were sodden by the end. Still wet through now, if I was on a two day walking trip I wouldn't be able to wear them today. Only had them since May, and to be fair they haven't leaked before in less damp conditions but yesterday they were crap.

I suppose the old advice that the sooner you accept your going to get wet feet if you do a lot of hiking still stands.

They will still need some sort of wax or spray on them even though they are "waterproof"

I do loads of walking. I have 3 sets of boots. Always one pair with newspaper inside drying out & smelling like death.

Getting piss wet through & covered in cow **** is part of the fun for me.

    Yes I'm a weirdo. I support BFC.
