Blu Ray and HD DVD's

    Is there any difference between the two?

    We might be getting a Blu Ray DVD player with a new HD telly, I want to know if a hd dvd would play at it's best quality on a blu ray dvd player.

    I think they are completely different, incompatable formats - like VHS and Betamax (if you remeber back then)
