<h3 class="headline">NEW DEAL FOR EX RED </h3><div id="lastEditDate" class="lastEditDate">Posted on:Tue 31 Jul 2007</div> FORMER Oakwell midfielder Stephen McPhail has penned a new contract at Cardiff which will keep him at Ninian Park until 2011.</p> Cardiff City turned down a bid for the influential Irishman in the summer, according to reports.</p> McPhail joined the Reds in 2004 and went on to make 77 appearances, helping the Club to promotion from League One in 2006.</p> </p>
Well Done To The Lad A four year contract is good security and he nearly got Cardiff into the play offs last season. Didn't play too badly for us either in his second year of his contract.
Anyone got any sharp objects handy? Woe is me. Can't believe that Dave Jones rates him at all. Good first touch - as long as it falls on his left, but doesn't contribute anywhere near enough for my liking. RE: Anyone got any sharp objects handy? I reckon Ridsdale had a say in it, cant see Ridsdale wanting his beloved Mcphail at a club he isnt at.
