An article I saw about the court case quoted Ridsdale as using the words 'our solicitors say we have a good chance of winning the court case'. Good chance of winning from him probably means the case is currently weighted in favour of Langstons. I'd have thought that repayments dates should have been written into a contract, signed and witnessed by both parties. You would therefore think that this should be an open and shut case for one of the sides - along the lines of 'we have a written, signed contract stating repayment dates and proving we are in the right'. Unless something more underhand has gone on......???
No point worrying According to the club, that is exactly what we've got. This is also included in information given to HMRC & Companies House when our returns have been declared. It is also on the returns of Langston & Sam H's previous company (name escapes me) which previously owned CCFC. Langstons are trying to wrestle control of the club back (they may have spotted some technicality - who knows?) - the same way it was wrestled from them last year. They see the new stadium works & retail park now started and want a piece of the pie. With regards to administration, it is in no-ones interests for that to happen. Langstons loan to CCFC is on an unsecured basis and, if the club were put in administration, they would lose all of it. A £24m hit is a bitter blow. Incidentally, we owe Langstons £15m - the other £9m has been tied up in a deal giving Langstons money from the naming rights for the stadium. If its less than £9m, thats all they get but if it's more it goes to CCFC. Odd deal, but that's Sam the businessman for you. Something underhand? With Sam Hammam & Peter Ridsdale - I can't believe that Rumour has it that the club also has some incriminating evidence that could lead to a term in one of Her Majestys finest establishments for a former owner. Fingers crossed, hope there's some truth in that one.
RE: No point worrying
I wouldn't have thought Ridsdale would want to go down that road considering the way he conducts his own affairs.

And that he's already been back in Yorkshire practicing how to say sorry. Harry Gration gave him a rough old ride & rightly so
RE: And that he's already Should see the flak he's taken down here then, vicious. He's had it from all angles - the press, radio, television, his email addy & mobile no. are common knowledge and have been well used, along with face-to-face criticism - he's well pee'd off about it. But promoting a book about a former club when there's enough going on here to busy himself with and taking our manager and players with him is out of order. He's batted it off saying that all profits are going to a childrens hospital in Leeds that is close to his heart for personal reasons. All credit to him for that gesture but he could have approached it a lot better imo.
thing is P Riddy will always............. live and die by publicity-he wasn't called Publicity Pete for nothing
Publicity Pete strikes again. I will give him his due, when my eldest was in for heart op we did get a card from the club & him in particular delivered by hand to our house for him & good wishes in emails. But I agree wi you he's only interested in self promotion not really in the clubs he's involved wi
