seen em a couple of times, once at octagon, sheff, the other in glasto.
he has a good voice but it's not the strongest so a small venue like birdwell club should be good.
£12.50's a bit steep though. is there a buffet ?

Agree totally mate. We have no venues which attract decent bands. I remember Ash coming the other year...lol...and if thats as good as it gets....So we got no venue for bands in town...no hotels...no cinema...for a town of our population its a poor show!

    You know, you're absolutely right.

I'm an oldie meself, but what have you young 'uns got but pubs to go to?

A live venue would be an absolute godsend to this area.

Start lobbying the council - they're in a listening frame of mind cos there are big elections next year - meaningful for once - and they know they've screwed up big-style on other issues lately!

Not next time I don't think mate - they're getting perilously close to losing their majority and they've done a lot of things that have upset people this year.

The elections aren't until next May but you watch 'em start squealing as they get closer!

No...no mate the Labour old guard on the council know they are safe and secure. Thats the trouble theyb have good plans for the town centre but no urgency....we have no cinema in a few wks and the replacement is not planned to be built untill 2010! What about the mean time....? No hotel, no venue for gigs...no theatre. I think the plans are quite good but they keep putting the dates back for construction. I dont know...I jus hope Birdwell Club can attract some more big names...
