Just see this in todays Torygraph.

Whilst not as serious as the Tevez incident it still looks to be a case of pots and kettles.

"Football in Brief: Probe into Sheffield

Sheffield United are being probed for allegedly breaking the same transfer rule as West Ham, it was reported last night.

United are battling to get West Ham thrown out of the Premiership for their involvement in the Carlos Tevez affair but now the Blades are under investigation into one of their own dealings.

The Premier League have demanded to know why the Yorkshire club stopped one of their former players, Steve Kabba, playing against them after he had gone to join Watford - which may amount to third party interference."

'Well now, that £5 million fine seems reasonable. Surely we can talk about this?'

'What about the European Court of Human Rights application you're making?'

'What's the European Court of Human Rights? Oh we were just joking...'

Man Utd got away with the same thing when they stopped Tim Howard playing against them for Everton.

Thats completely different. He was only on loan at Everton - therefore Man Utd were well within their rights to stop him playing. All other teams do the same - except Barnsley.

What happened when Andy Cole went to Man Utd from Newcastle?

Newcastle put a clause in his contract to stop him playing against them. They didn't get into any trouble.

Not that I'm sticking up for the porkers. I hope they get fined a squillion pounds and relegated to the Blue Square North. Can't see it, though.

Yes mate - completely ridiculous why we would allow him to play against us. Not sure it was a hat-trick though. But he did have a stormer.
