Been on general sale a week already and still no mention of ticket sales....Could be a poor turnout...See they have used the old picture pre banner...... http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/AwayMatches/0,,10418~1097039,00.html
Any idea what the loyalty points situation is there? Looks like a good system to me, none of this stubs malarky.
LoyaLTY CARDS It's simple - for a club that operates in the 21st century.
They award points to your account for matches you attend and (I think) merchandise spend. Points are graded so you get more for going to Plymouth than Hillsborough.
Similarly the points required to buy tickets are graded so you need more for the tastier games.
So the fans who go to all the homes, and the less attractive aways, get first pickings at the glamour games.
And it's all done by computer - your account is credited on the club's system and your points are accessed through your card.
I hate the Blunts with a passion, but I have to say that's the way to do your business in 2009.
We on the other hand are still in 1909.

RE: LoyaLTY CARDS I thought it was something like that. Barnsley definitely in the dark ages when it comes to marketing and ticketing.
RE: LoyaLTY CARDS dunt be daft........far to expensive to set up and administer for the likes of us........we aint even got chip n pin yet (doh)
RE: Loyalty cards Oh, and ST holders don't lose out because they're credited with a load of points at the start of the season.
A good mate of mine is a Blunt (well nobody's perfect!) and he thinks the system is absolutely brilliant.

Since admin I think the various management at the club have considered spending a six figure sum on playing staff more important than the ticketing system. Don't think they can put it off much longer.
RE: Since admin It's a fine line to be sure, but the longer you put things off the worse it is in the end.
RE: LoyaLTY CARDS Is it based on distance between your house and the ground you want or where you live? For example if we brought it in would our Southern based fans get the same amount of loyalty points for going to Plymouth that our fans based up north would get?
We haven't got enough fans to justify it. Everyone who wanted to get in against those cnuts on Tuesday got in. We took 996 to Forest - everyone who wanted a ticket got one. It'd be useful once every decade when we get a Sky Four club away from home. Sad, but true.
