While we're trying to drum up excitement for a JPT tie against what is essentially a NW Counties club. Depressing.

Nah. being the huge club they think they are in the same division or lower than us is depressing (for them).

I'd hate to be a Blade. Such a bitter bunch. I'd be a Barnsley fan every day of the week. Bring on Fleetwood.

Swings and roundabouts. I'd rather win the JPT at Wembley and have a laugh and a day out than get tonked at Old Trafford. Although given how Manchester Utd are playing...

You can enjoy and appreciate something you have despite someone else having something you view as better. Not surprised you never grasped that concept since I imagine you never completed primary school.

I'm pretty sure they're in the same division as us. Until quite recently they were above us too.

    Record Crowds

The record attendance for the final is 80,841, for the 1988 Final match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley at Wembley.

The highest attendance for any game outside of the final came on 5 February 2013, when Coventry City lost to Crewe Alexandra 3–0 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, in front of a crowd of 31,054.

Exeter are playing at Liverpool, S****horpe at Chelsea . . . who gives a flying ********. We've a better chance of getting to Wembley than any of them.

Dr Z pack it in pal. We get you're not reyt enamoured. We really do. Really really do. Really.

But like it or not, can't be argued. It's a fact. Look at past winners over 20odd years. It's an officially recognised FA endorsed official honour. It's a trophy. Like the FA or League Cup you have to enter it. It's compulsory. It's worth nearly a £million if we get there if nowt else. And the only chance were likely to see a bit of silver holded aloft at our national stadium. We're nearly 140 years old and we've won 1 thing. None of us are old enough to remember! Ask Sheff Utd, Wigan, Millwall etc if they'd like to win it?!? Doubt any would say no.

So please...... have a day off please. We really really really get ya! I promise

They haven't really acheived anything though have they? Their ball got drawn out at random with Man U's. They've beaten Worcester City and Oldham so far. I wouldn'tfind the situation depressing.

If they beat them though, computers, phone, TV, radio . . . all off for at least a week.

I realise you meant depressing in a football sense rather than anything more serious, but even then I think you're miles off.

8 league defeats on the bounce and finding ourselves in the relegation zone was depressing. Since then we've won 6 of our last 10 games. We're out of the relegation places and heading for midtable. In Adam Hammill we have, arguably, the best player in the division. Because teams tend to double up on him we're getting space elsewhere and Isgrove has begun to show some some class, which means the opposition have had to have a re-think allowing Hammill space again. Hourihane finally has some players to pass to and Winnall has rediscovered his form.

For my money the last two home games have been the best performances since Johnson took over and to add a bit of sugar on the top we've now got a chance to get to a Wembley final and win something for the first and maybe only time in any of our life times. I find the current situation anything but depressing. It may all still go pear shaped, but at the moment we're on a roll and I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I didn't even know Sheff Utd were playing Man Utd. Some of their fans are pretty 'orrible so if they get a good hammering there'll be little sympathy from me, but there's plenty of decent Sheffielders too, so I wouldn't begrudge them their celebrations if they got a win. It would be quite funny for them to add to Man Utd's woes. But by far the more important game this weekend for me is our match against Fleetwood.

I don't care that it's only the JPT. If we win I get a weekend out on the piss in London with my mates and a chance to see my football team win a cup at Wembley. I can't think of anything I'd like to do more. Come on your Reds!
