They seem to think Karl Robinson or Big Sam is taking them over. Wouldn't know deluded if it hit them in the face.

Warnock could return for a 4th spell ? Cos that would be progress...

IMHO Clough has done a good job kept them up year 1, top 6 year 2, superb cup runs. Has he failed or are the blunts expectations unrealistic. This year unlucky with injuries and lack of cover at centre back position. Not sure what happened with Andy Butler experienced defender signed then immediately loaned out.

Steve McLaren... No one else seems to want him!

Not sure about non league Nigel myself. I would imagine that they had the second biggest budget in the league after Bristol City so it would have been a reasonable expectation in a second season to get automatic promotion or very close to it.

I would have kept Nigel for another season. Joined whilst they were doing poorly and just missed out and then the play offs are just luck.

He surely deserved a chance this coming season

My thoughts entirely 2 cup semi finals almost making playoffs in first season despite them being in relegation trouble when he took charge, knocked out in the Playoffs this season - not quite how I would define failure. Either he was judged solely on failing to get promotion - or there is something else behind the scenes. If its the former then the board have less sense than even I thought. If I were a blunt ( fortunately I am not ) I would rather start next season with Clough than with a new manager who embarks on a new rebuilding program
