Anyone who takes that job is mental. They sacked the last man so they could instil an American, they've given him 6-8 weeks and sacked him too. Relegation certs. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Another example of a British club being destroyed by foreign owners. Sacking a bloke after 11 games? Bonkers. If he lost them all fair enough but he's won 3 so need to give him a bit of bloody time. Football, certainly the premiership, is broken. Thank god we support Barnsley.
Although no club should feel unduly constrained by their history, I'm not sure what Swansea City are expecting in terms of progression. They got rid of the excellent Garry Monk after a poor run, but the following appointments make little sense. Clearly they thought their European campaigns and top half finishes were the mark they needed to be hitting regularly, but to me it all seems a bit over-ambitious. They're only just over ten years out of the Vetch Field and the lower echelons of League Two. A miraculous rise through the leagues must have raised expectations to unsustainable heights. Not sure who they appoint now, two strange appointments have failed badly and with a lacklustre looking steam, relegation looks a real likelyhood.
Not sure if he'd take it, but Chris Coleman would be the man. Swansea born & played there. Has 2 years on Wales contract though. Money talks & if he plans to get into club management again would be a good fit.
I thought he was doing a wonderful job tbh. Would make my day if they went and appointed big fat John Hartson.
Good. Nothing worse than hearing an American talking about "soccer" and how his team were unlucky to be "down by one zero" Urgh.
Harshly treated. Sad to see Swansea going the way they are. In truth they should've beat us comfortably in the play off final & from the following season when they got promoted up to about 2 years ago they've always been a great side to watch, playing good football & developing players but seem to have lost the plot with the new owners.
