No! This is not a cue for the song!

I'm recalling the magnificent job Bobby did during the 2008 Cup run as a stand-in midfielder. I think he showed more cojones (oh - there we go again!) during that spell than most of our midfield this season.

So I'd find a place for him there, even if Micky kids Danny on to keep playing our pantomime horses at the back.

    Simples, innit?

Wherever he is asked to play. Mr Versatile still has something to offer this team.

Centre half I reckon, not sure he' got the leg for full back or centre mid any more.

I'm not sure why some think his legs might have gone particularly as he hasn't been given a chance this season and in the games he did feature in last season, which is only a few months ago, he seemed to still have the legs. He may not have the mobility he once had but he has the experience and nous to help us this season. Just my opinion though.

I'd say centre midfield personally - in front of back four. Can do the job of Perkins and Dawson. A box to box midfielder next to him (I'd say Perkins, but perhaps someone who can find a forward pass).

He can play anywhere on the back four, but given we have the worse left back since Paul Heckingbottom I'd play him there.

To be fair he hasn't been given the chance to prove whether his legs have gone or not.

He's worth trying at centre mid, but got to remember he's 33 now and hasn't played competitively for a very long time

I don't fall on any side in the marmite Bobby Hassell debate. He's a great guy and a terrific ambassador for the club. What I know is that under Danny personalities will be put aside and he will be judged on footballing ability alone, rather than personality, which is clearly how it should have been all along. In terms of a role I'd say the sweeper in a back 3 is ideal for him.
